Cumberland Plateau, LENOWISCO Health Districts to post available COVID-19 appointment slots to social media prior to vaccine clinics

The Cumberland Plateau and LENOWISCO Health Districts will now post available COVID-19 appointment slots for vaccine clinics on their Facebook page.

Vaccines are available to anyone 65 and older as well as individuals aged 16 to 64 with underlying medical conditions.

Health departments will fill appointments times first from the waitlist but if clinics still have slots available 24 hours prior to a clinic, a registration link will be posted on the district’s Facebook page.

“These appointment slots will be limited and available to eligible individuals on a first-come, first-served basis,” said Dr. Karen Shelton, health director for both districts. “Eligible 16- and 17-year olds should carefully note if a clinic is offering Moderna, Johnson & Johnson or Pfizer; Moderna and Johnson & Johnson are only approved for those 18 and older.”
