Daddy’s Home: Bristol Virginia and Jackson Elementary stage parade to welcome home US Army soldier
Everything went according to plan Wednesday afternoon in a covert operation that brought one US Army soldier back to his kids in Bristol, Virginia.
So many tears of joy at SJES today as the entire school welcomed Sgt Miller back from service abroad. His kids were shocked in what was a really neat moment. Thanks to @BVPSDistrict @BristolVAPolice and @semcvey05 for helping make this so special. pic.twitter.com/0PvRqZZLVe

The city police department staged what students at Stonewall Jackson Elementary thought was a special St. Patrick’s Day parade on the campus.
The two children of Sgt. Dakota Miller soon saw their dad emerge from the back of a police SUV cruiser and were reunited following the father’s recent tour of duty.
