UVA-Wise announces preliminary plans for Spring commencement ceremonies

UVA-Wise will hold in-person commencement ceremonies for the class of 2021 and the class of 2020.

The university announced those preliminary plans following Gov. Ralph Northam’s announcement Wednesday to allow in-person graduation ceremonies at a limited capacity. Ceremonies will be held at Carl Smith Stadium at 30% capacity, which will allow for around 1,170 people, including graduates, faculty, Commencement staff, and guests into the stadium.

The class of 2021 will graduate on May 8 at 11 a.m and May 9 at 1 p.m for the class of 2020.
