Warner Says Recover Plan Should And Does Cover Needed Costs For Assistance To Virginians
An estimated three point six million Virginia households are slated to receive over nine billion dollars as part of the recently passed American Rescue Plan. Republicans say the one point nine trillion dollars covers less than ten percent of the funds needed to battle the physical effects of the virus and just one percent will fund the costs of distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine. Democratic United States Senator Mark Warner disagrees.Bristol Virginia and the city of Abingdon are slated to receive a combined thirteen million dollars while Washington County Virginia will receive just over ten million dollars from the American Rescue Plan that will provide relief for critical unemployment assistance as well as funds to boost vaccination efforts and help for struggling businesses in the commonwealth.
