UPDATE: Bristol, VA police capture assault and burglary suspect following manhunt Friday night
Police have captured a suspect wanted in a domestic attack in Bristol, VA.
Bristol, VA Police arrested Robert Johnson Jr. just after 1 a.m. Saturday, and follows a manhunt for Johnson who crashed his vehicle on Old Airport Rd. at the I-81 Exit 7 ramp and fled the scene. Authorities stated Johnson may have been injured from a gunshot wound while being sought.
He was wanted on charges of malicious wounding and burglary following an incident at his ex-girlfriend’s on Wednesday.

Police in Bristol, Virginia are searching for a man accused of a burglary and assault at an ex-girlfriend’s home.
Officers say the incident involving suspect Robert Johnson Jr. reportedly occurred March 17, and arrest warrants have been issued for his arrest for malicious wounding and burglary. Authorities say Johnson may be traveling in a light blue Hyundai Accent with Virginia license plate number USE-2484.
Johnson is considered armed and dangerous and anyone with information on his location should call call the Bristol, Virginia Police Department at 276-645-7400.
