Greeneville High School boys basketball team captures first state championship in one-point victory
Greeneville High School’s boys basketball team is back home with shiny hardware added to their trophy case.
The Greene Devils spent this weekend rolling through the Class AA state tournament in Murfreesboro, which included a three point win against Bolivar Central in the quarterfinals, a six point victory over Upperman in the state semifinal, which lead to the school’s first boys basketball state championship in a thrilling 47-46 win over Jackson South Side.
Greeneville completed their season with a 31-6 record.
