Rep. Crawford: Bristol, Kingsport, Sullivan schools to receive combined $46M in relief funding
Three Sullivan County based school districts will be receiving a combined $46 million in education relief funding.
District 1 TN State Rep. John Crawford announced Tuesday that federal dollars are being made available thanks to the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund program. The program offers school districts an opportunity to invest in student learning recovery in learning losses due to the pandemic, in addition to allowing for districts to improve facilities.
“Our school districts have faced many challenges over the past year,” Crawford said. “These funds will provide our schools with important resources to address the needs of our students that were amplified by the pandemic.”
Bristol, TN Schools will receive $8,331,450, Kingsport City Schools will receive $17,075,503, and Sullivan County Schools will receive $20,610,150.
