HVFVFD: One person transported to hospital in Friday morning house fire in Elizabethton
One person was taken to the hospital following a house fire Friday morning in Carter County.
According to a Facebook post from the Hampton Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Department, they were dispatched to a structure fire around 8 a.m. at a home in the 100 block of Edgewater Road in the Valleyforge community. Crews say they saw smoke and fire coming from a corner of the house when they arrived, and contained the fire to one room before extinguishing the fire.

One individual received minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. The American Red Cross is assisting the family.
