Bristol Broadcasting founder W.L. “Mr. Pete” Nininger selected for 2021 Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame
Bristol Broadcasting Company founder W.L. “Mr. Pete” Nininger was named a Legacy Class member of the 2021 Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame.
Hall President Pamela Furr made the announcement on Tuesday and the formal ceremony will be held on July 31st in Murfreesboro.
Mr. Pete began his company with one AM radio station in Bristol, Virginia in the late 1940s and watched it grow to 21 stations in four states over his decades of work. Bristol Broadcasting now operates 31 stations in five states.
