Amazon selects Bristol, Virginia for new delivery station
There’s huge news this afternoon coming out of Bristol Virginia as officials announce Amazon is bringing a new delivery station to the city.
According to a Press Release from J.A. Street and Associates, the project coordinator for the Amazon project, J.A. Street has been working with the Amazon team to finalize the plans and scheduling.
Courtney Johnson Norman, an Amazon spokesperson says in the release: “Amazon is excited to expand operations into Southwest Virginia, investing in a new delivery station in Bristol. Amazon is committed to providing efficient delivery for customers and creating hundreds of jobs for the talented workforce in the area.”
The facility will be located at 103 Thomas Road in the Bristol, Virginia Industrial Park and will create hundreds of jobs, paying a starting salary of 15 dollars per hour. The facility is expected to be in operation later this year.
