UPDATE: Northam amends executive order to expand crowd space in Virginia

Governor Ralph Northam amended an executive order to adopt new CDC guidelines with no masks needed outdoors except for large events like concerts, graduations, and sporting events.

Crowd capacity was also expanded by Northam for public events effective immediately instead of a May 15 mark set by the governor who said improved health metrics have presented a brighter outlook for future gatherings.

Virginia is currently 18th in the US in the percentage of people receiving the COVID vaccine and the number of residents fully vaccinated.
