UPDATE: Victim in Johnson City vehicular homicide case identified

Johnson City police on Tuesday identified the victim who they said was intentionally hit in the downtown area on June 20th.

Jason Ashby was already dead when officers arrived at the scene of the crash just before 6 am that morning in the area of Pardee and Broadway streets.

Adonis Gardner admitted to officers that he struck Ashby and he was later charged with vehicular homicide. That case will be presented to a grand jury in the coming weeks.
