48th Annual Hungry Mother Arts and Crafts Festival back in Marion

Marion, Virginia’s “Hungry Mother Arts and Crafts Festival” is back. This festival features countless craftsmen and live music; however many come for the food competitions. This year, the festival partnered with more local restaurants than ever before to bring a wide range of food eating challenges. Event organizer Ken Heath says, “We are so excited to have fourteen of our Marion business family eateries participating.” Food competitions range from shaved ice to fried rice, and whoever finishes their portion the quickest wins. There is no entry fee to participate. These competitions kick off Saturday, July 17th at 4 PM on the Main Stage.

The Hungry Mother Festival takes place July 16 and 17 from 10 AM to 6 PM at Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, Virginia. More information can be found at hungrymotherfestival.com.
