Scott Jury Convicts Man Of Murdering Man In 2018

A Hawkins County Tennessee man is now scheduled for sentencing after a Scott County Virginia jury convicted him of murdering another man in 2018. After a four day trial, prosecutors showed that John Robert Martin, Jr, of Hawkins county shot Nicholas Pierce, aka Nicholas Salerno numerous times after Martin learned that Pierce was in a relationship with Martin’s wife. The murder took place in the Yuma section of Scott County. Martin’s wife testified that her husband took a photograph of Pierce after the murder. Martin, according to a press released from the Commonwealth’s Attorney Zack Stoots, Martin, then drove back home with his wife and tied her up, then showed her the picture of Pierce. Martin is scheduled for sentencing on the murder conviction on November 3, 2021.
