Report: State tax investigators charge Washington County, Tennessee woman with 53 felonies
State revenue investigators charged a Washington County, Tennessee woman with 53 felonies following an examination of tax returns for a local eatery.
Amy Oaks Turner, 48, has been indicted on charges of filing false sales tax returns, theft of property over $60,000, and tax evasion. Examiners said the crimes took place from 2015 to 2019 when she prepared the data for Charley’s Philly Steaks.
Turner was jailed and issued a $50,000 bond. State information shows she was booked just after 10:30 Tuesday morning and has since bonded out.
