Report: 37 percent of students at Virginia Tech immunized against COVID

Health officials with Virginia Tech will continue to stress COVID vaccination to students as the beginning of the fall semester approaches.

Data released this week shows 37 percent of the student population has been given both shots for virus protection. The amount of faculty and staff members immunized has grown to 58 percent.

Students must upload a copy of their vaccination card to an online portal before August 6th. Tech mandated student vaccination for entry into the Blacksburg campus last month.
