Kingsport man accused of violating protective order in Hawkins County
A man ordered to stay away from his family earlier this month has been charged following an incident in Hawkins County.
A report from the sheriff’s office says John Lee Kurtz II of Kingsport busted out the back window of the victim’s van, partially covering a 6-year-old child with glass.
Records showed Kurtz, 26, had been served with an order of protection in Sullivan County on July 6th. He is now charged with violation of that order, two counts of domestic assault, and reckless endangerment.
