Police: Maryland Avenue resident fires gunshots at Bristol Tennessee mowing crew
A preliminary investigation reveals a Bristol, Tennessee resident reportedly fired shots at a city crew who came to his residence to mow his yard.
A report from Chief Matt Austin’s office said the workers and neighbors heard several shots coming from a window at the home of Greg Hensley on Maryland Avenue whose lawn had not been trimmed since mowing season.
Police closed down streets to form a perimeter around Hensley’s home. After several attempts to reach the suspect including over a public address system, Hensley surrendered to police and was arrested.
Hensley is charged with three counts of aggravated assault and one count of reckless endangerment. The case is still under review and more charges could be filed.
