Mount Rogers Health District offering COVID boosters

The Mount Rogers Health District has announced third doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are now available for those who are immunocompromised.

The CDC is recommending the third shot booster for those who are actively receiving cancer treatments, received an organ transplant or had a stem cell transplant within the last two years, or are taking medications that can suppress the immune system.

Mount Rogers officials plan to offer the third vaccine dose at local health departments and at mobile community clinics.
