Virginia To Begin Giving Third Dose Of Vaccine For Immunocompromised Virginians
Virginia is distributing a third dose of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID19 vaccines for moderately and severely immunocompromised Virginians. The move comes after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its vaccination guidelines to recommend the third doses for people who have significantly compromised immune systems. State Health Commissioner Norm Oliver says the third dose is an important protection and urged everyone who is eligible to get appropriately vaccinated as soon as they can. The vaccines are readily available throughout Virginia and should be made available of the next several days.
