Ohio man dies in single-vehicle crash in Scott County
The Virginia State Police is reporting the death of a Somerville, Ohio man who was killed in a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Scott County.
A preliminary report says Lonnie H. Lane, Jr., 80, was southbound on US 23 outside of Gate City just after 6:30 when his pickup ran off the left side of the road and into the median.
The truck then went through the northbound lanes and rolled down an embankment. Lane was pronounced dead at the scene.
