Johnson City Police Nab Convicted Felon
A convicted felon is off the streets of Johnson City after police arrested the man on several charges including being a felon in possession of a gun, and reckless endangerment. Matthew D. Norris of McKinley Road in Johnson City was arrested after a report of shots fired in the downtown square area early Friday morning. Upon arrival, police witnessed Norris fleeing the area but was quickly apprehended a short distance from the scene. Following a search, police located a loaded, semi automatic handgun. Norris was also charged with possession of a firearm while under the influence and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. Norris was scheduled for arraignment on Friday.
