Rescue And Search Efforts Continue Tuesday, In Hurley After Severe Flooding And Mudslides

According to Buchanan County Virginia Sheriff’s Office specialized teams from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management, the Sheriff’s Office and other emergency response agencies will resume rescue and search efforts in Hurley Virginia Tuesday morning after a Monday afternoon deluge of rain caused severe flooding and mudslides resulting in extensive damage and restricted access to homes in the Hurley area. According to a Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post Monday night Virginia State Police, and numerous fire, rescue, and search agencies from across the state and West Virginia will resume those efforts Tuesday morning.
