Suspect In Custody Following Standoff With Kingsport Police

Investigators continue to probe the circumstances leading to the arrest of a so far unnamed suspect after a standoff with police in Kingsport. Officers responded to the 12 hundred block of Chestnut Street Monday evening in regards to a reported domestic disturbance and possible shots fired. The suspect refused to leave the home when officer arrived. A Kingsport Police Department SWAT team was called in to assist and took the suspect into custody. No further details are being released at this time.
