Driver Jumps Beaver Creek, Violently Crashes Into Downtown Bristol Apartments, Seriously Injured

The driver of a vehicle that jumped Beaver Creek, then crashed violently into Leisure Park Towers on Moore Street early Tuesday morning remains in critical condition. According to the Bristol Virginia Professional Fire Fighters Association, a so far unidentified victim, the vehicle, somehow jumped Beaver Creek and then slammed into the side of the apartment complex. The driver was trapped inside and extricated by first responders and was taken to a local hospital. Speed is thought to be a factor in the Tuesday morning crash which remains under active investigation by the Bristol Virginia Police Department.
