Report: Elizabethton man exchanged naked photos with 14-year-old

An Elizabethton man has entered into a plea agreement with federal prosecutors on child sex charges and received a 17.5-year sentence.

Tips from Homeland Security operatives led police to the home of James Ellison Catoe, 48, in 2019 where more than 11,000 illicit images of children were found on his computer and cell phone.

Catoe also admitted that he exchanged naked photos with a 14-year-old girl more than 50 times.
