Police searching for suspect in Kingsport kidnapping case

Kingsport police are searching for a suspect in a criminal case where an eyewitness saw the victim jump from a moving car to try and get away.

The report said Joshua S. Vasilko, 25, is charged with aggravated kidnapping and domestic violence in connection to the Nov. 18 incident on Rock Springs Road.

The victim told investigators that Vasilko repeatedly slapped and hit her in the face, refused to stop the car, and took her cell phone when they tried to call 911. Police said Vasilko also threatened to murder her and her family.

Anyone with information on Vasilko’s location can call police and anonymous tips are accepted online.
