Youngkin marches out COVID Action Plan
“Empowering Virginia with choices, not mandates.”
That is the message Governor Glenn Youngkin placed in his COVID Action Plan as part of Executive Order 11 he signed this week.
The governor said the plan gives healthcare providers needed support to battle staffing shortages including expanding bed capacity at long-term care centers and allowing medical professionals from out of state to practice in the commonwealth.
The procedures also include programs to get more than 1.8 million unvaccinated Virginians to take the shot and prioritizing COVID testing to mitigate supply-chain shortages in test kits. That includes having unused test packs sent to hospitals, schools, and other offices where demand is high.
