Kingsport man facing aggravated domestic assault charge in Hawkins County

A Kingsport, Tennessee man is accused of pushing his fiance out of a moving car then trying to run over her on Carters Valley Road in Hawkins County.

Police said that Calvin Smith, 32, drove toward the female victim who was then able to jump on a porch and out of harm’s way while Smith drove off.

The report said Smith reportedly called the victim during her police interview and an officer heard Smith say, “Someone is going to die tonight.”

Smith is charged with one count of aggravated domestic assault.
