Virginia SNAP recipients will again receive emergency allotments on Feb. 16
The Virginia Department of Social Services announced that eligible residents on SNAP benefits will again receive emergency allotments in February. These emergency funds began for Virginia SNAP recipients as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. They raise existing SNAP recipients’ monthly benefits to the maximum allowable amount based on household size.
Participants with questions are encouraged to contact their local department of social services or visit commonhelp.Virginia.gov. The department says these emergency benefits will be automatically loaded to Virginia recipients’ EBT cards on February 16th.
