Gas Jumps Almost Eight Cents In Past Week In Virginia, More Increases Expected
The priced of gas in the Commonwealth of Virginia has jumped almost eight cents since last week. That’s 13 cents per gallon higher than a month ago, and almost a dollar more than a year ago. Prices of petrol in Virginia range from a low of two dollars and 93 cents per gallon to a high of three dollars and ninety nine cents per gallon. Gas Buddy reports the jump is connected to a surge on oil pushing the price of oil to 93 dollars per barrel over concerns Russia might invade Ukraine. This weeks gas report also indicates motorists can expect even more price increases later this Spring.
