Bristol Tennessee City Council Holds Called Session For Councilmen Keen’s Replacement
Former Bristol Tennessee City Councilman, Chad Keen announced last week his resignation from council, to possibly make a run at for a house seat in Nashville. Monday, City Council held a called session of to discuss the process of replacing Keen until the next city election. Keen represented the East District and whoever is selected must reside in the East Council District. The City Charter does not set forth a process for council to follow in the recruitment, vetting, or selection of a candidate to fill the unexpired term, but does provide guidance for eligibility requirements and a selection must be made within thirty days of Keen’s resignation on February 9th.
