Three members of Georgia family killed in Interstate 81 collision

A former policeman and a two-year-old toddler were among the three people killed in a crash on Interstate 81 Friday when a passenger van crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer in Wythe County.

Mark E. Williams, 52, and Brittany R. Puckett, 25, both of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, were pronounced dead at the scene along with the boy who was properly secured in a child seat according to the Virginia State Police.

The driver and three more passengers including a 7 and 5-year-old female were hospitalized with serious and life-threatening injuries.
