UPDATE: Suspect in violent domestic case in Gray identified

A Northeast Tennessee man is charged with violating a protective order and seriously injuring his wife at a home in Washington County.

A report from Sheriff Keith Sexton said Michael Paul Bailey, 36, left the house located in Gray before officers arrived but discovered a woman who had been beaten and kicked. Bailey was later found at an area hospital receiving treatment for a stab wound to the neck.

Bailey is also charged with aggravated assault and was issued an $11,000 bond.
