Search For Homeless, Armed, And Dangerous Man Continues In Unicoi County Following Monday Shooting

Unicoi County authorities continue their search for a homeless man, now considered armed and dangerous following a shooting incident that took place Monday. Sheriff Mike Hensley says his officers are searching for Jason Daniel Vestal. Vestal reportedly was involved in a shooting in the Canah Chapel community where two people were shot during a fight. Vestal fled on foot. He is now wanted on state as well as federal warrants for violation of probation, aggravated assault, and felony possession of a firearm.
