Tennessee Department of Agriculture says no burn permits Wednesday due to high wind
The Tennessee Department of Agriculture says no Safe Debris Burn Permits will be issued across the state Wednesday, 2/16 due to high wind conditions. The National Weather Service reports that wind will strengthen greatly into the afternoon, creating moderate to very high fire danger.
The department goes on to say the strongest winds will happen in the mountainous regions of East Tennessee, and will remain strong on Thursday, however widespread rain showers will help alleviate the risks. Burn permit issuance by county can be found on BurnSafeTN.org. Read the department’s post here.
