Two Billion Dollar O’Quinn School Construction Bill In Appropriations Committee Budget

A two billion dollar school construction Loan Rebate Program sponsored by southwest Virginia Delegate Israel O’ Quinn, and designed to repair aging and crumbling schools is being presented in the House Appropriations Committee to the House of Delegates. O’ Quinn was a catalyst for the bill according to the Appropriations Committee Chairman. The bill calls for two billion dollars in school construction projects for the next two years in southwest Virginia funding by general funds, literary funds, and revenues generated by Virginia’s gaming industry.
