UVA stats show COVID cases falling across Virginia

Data records compiled by a branch of the University of Virginia show COVID-19 case rates overall are falling across the state.

The Biocomplexity Institute reported declines are expected in most virus variants in the coming weeks although cases in Southwest Virginia remain high and most involve those who are not vaccinated.

The report said not a single health district is in the midst of a COVID surge although cases of the omicron variant just hit their peak last week in our region.
