TBI identifies suspect in Monday’s officer-involved shooting in Kingsport
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation named Michael Bentley as the suspect in an officer-involved shooting Monday evening in Kingsport.
A preliminary report said Bentley fired shots at officers with the Homeland Security agency, the US Postal Inspection Service, and the DEA among others during an operation at a home in the 6300 block of Heatherwood Lane.
No one was injured in the incident. Bentley, 26, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and is being held in the Sullivan County Jail.
TBI agents continue to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred in Sullivan County earlier today. No one was injured during the incident.
