St. Patrick’s Day is on Thursday, a time to put the winter season behind us and celebrate with friends. During this holiday, local law enforcement wants to remind the public that drunk driving is a choice that can have deadly consequences for you and those around you.
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, St. Paddy’s Day is one of the most dangerous holidays of them all; from 2016 to 2020, a total of 287 lives were lost nationwide as a result of drunk driving during St. Patrick’s Day. If you plan to celebrate this week by having drinks, remember to arrange a sober ride home.
