Virginia’s first casino officially opens in Bristol
The first casino in Virginia’s history has rolled into Bristol. The Bristol Casino, future home of Hard Rock, officially opened on Friday, July 8th. The new attraction is located at the former Bristol Mall site, and will serve as a temporary casino while Hard Rock constructs its upcoming, full-scale resort and casino.
The casino features a 30,000-square-foot gaming floor with nearly 900 slot machines, 20 table games including baccarat, blackjack, craps, Mississippi stud, pai-gow, roulette, three card poker and ultimate Texas Hold’em, according to the Bristol Casino website. Hard Rock plans to have the major resort and casino complete in the next few years, but for now, the temporary Bristol Casino is open to the public 24 hours a day.
