Jonesborough restores water to 9,000 homes; customers asked to limit usage through Jan. 6

Jonesborough Utilities Manager, Kevin Brobeck, says his department hopes to have water restored in Fall Branch by the end of Friday night; that’s in addition to the nine thousand who’s service is already restored across Washington County. An update Friday says 150 miles of line remain North of Highway 11-E— only 30 percent of the county’s 500-miles system effected by widespread outages, following frigid weather over the holiday weekend.

Officials thank the community for their patience, and ask Washington County residents to continue moderating water usage through January 6th, in order to help water system tanks fill to an optimal level.
