2 taken into custody in Greeneville New Year’s Day

Two people taken into custody in Greeneville New Year’s Day. Police were serving a warrant at a residence on Daisy St. in Greeneville. Suspect Marcus Brown had an active warrant for violation of probation and was believed to be a that location. Officers knocked and eventually Briana Shiflet answered. She informed officers Brown was not at the scene. Officers searched and eventually found Brown hiding in an attic. Officers say Brown fell through the ceiling and into a bedroom and complained of back pain. He was transported to the hospital. Brown was served his warrant and now faces a resisting arrest charge. Shiflet was transported to the Washington County Detention center and charged with filing a false report for lying to officers.
