Early Monday accident fatality on I-81

One person is dead following a crash on Interstate 81 in Sullivan County Monday. A report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol said the crash took place southbound on I-81 near mile marker 64. 21 year old, Jacob Ramey, ran off the left side of the roadway, overcorrected, left the right side of the roadway and overturned. Ramey was ejected from the vehicle. A 21-year-old female passenger was airlifted for treatment of her injuries. Ramey was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither had their seat belt on.
