Flu cases “very high” in VA and TN

Flu activity in Tennessee and Virginia is “very high” according to the most recent Centers for Disease Control flu report. According to Ballad Health officials, RSV levels are stabilizing, flu infections continue to rise and local wastewater data indicates COVID-19 cases are climbing. 1,759 positive flu tests were administered between Christmas Eve and Dec. 30. Ballad is currently treating 162 patients for COVID-19 in its hospitals.
