Dobyns Bennett High School Band wins Metallica competition

Dobyns Bennett High School was announced Sunday night as a big winner in the Metallica Marching Band Competition. Dobyns Bennett won both the large high school division and the fan favorite award. More than 450 schools across the country performed Metallica’s music in a marching show for the competition. Professional judges and a fan vote then picked winners, with Metallica making the final call. Dobyns-Bennett will receive free music equipment valued at $25,000 for their win.
