TSA: Nine passengers brought weapons to Tri Cities Airport checkpoints

Tri-Cities Airport had the highest number of guns found at passenger checkpoints in its history.

The Transportation Security Administration produced its annual report, listing each Tennessee airport’s gun seizure number for 2023. Nine passengers had their weapons removed by airport security.

Nashville International and Memphis airports top the list. Tennessee officers confiscated 6,737 guns at state airports and other transportation hubs in the past year.
