Passenger traffic up 15 percent at Tri-Cities Airport

Passenger numbers at Tri-Cities Airport in Blountville continue to increase, with a 15 percent jump in 2023 traffic.
A report from facility management said 448,514 customers used Tri-Cities for travel last year, besting 2021’s user growth by 41 percent.
“The notable increase in passenger numbers for 2023 is a testament to our team’s dedication and the community’s trust in their airport,” Airport Executive Director Gene Cossey said in a prepared statement. “We are
proud to be a vital gateway for the Tri-Cities region, connecting travelers to destinations worldwide. The continued growth reflects our commitment to providing exceptional service and fostering economic development in the region.”
