Teacher/Bus Drivers in Virginia my see a new state benefit
Teachers in Southwest Virginia and across the state that have been pulling double duty as school bus drivers, may soon see an added benefit through the Virginia Retirement System. Del. Israel O’Quinn and Sen. Todd Pillion are currently working on new legislation that would allow an individual who serves concurrently as a full-time primary or secondary school teacher and as a full-time school bus driver to receive additional service credit in the Virginia Retirement System for providing those services.
