VDOT announces weekend work on I-81 in Bristol

The Virginia Department of Transportation has announced weekend lane shifts on I-81 in Bristol with new work zones between exits 10 and 7 will taking place this weekend.  On Saturday at approximately 6 a.m., be alert to a northbound lane closure beginning near exit 7 . The southbound lane closure, which will be located between exits 10 and 7, will begin Saturday night or early Sunday morning and will remain in place until approximately 6 a.m. Monday. VDOT says to  allow extra travel time and be alert to signs and message boards through the work zones.
